About us

Krasnodar region is located in the western part of the Great Caucasus on the Black Sea coast, and is Russia’s southernmost region. Situated between two seas—the Sea of Azov and the Black Sea — it is Russia’s largest and most significant resort region.

Primary tourist destinations of the region

Sochi: the only city in Russia with all the climate and natural opportunities for full-fledged rest and convalescence.

More than 3,000 types and forms of plants can be encountered here.

The subtropical climate, the never-freezing sea and the natural diversity of the Caucasus Mountains landscape have combined to create perfect conditions for tourism, year-round recreation and sanatorium treatment in Sochi.

Sochi is the only resort in Russia and one of the only resorts in the world located with specially protected natural areas. It is situated within the borders of the Sochi National Park and the Caucasus Nature Reserve.

Anapa is located in the Southwestern part of Krasnodar region, on the Black Sea coast, at the junction of the Great Caucasus foothills and the steppes of the Taman Peninsula.

Anapa is the sunniest Russian resort on the Black Sea coast, with 280 days of sun per year. Unique natural remedial factors―climate, balneological, mud―create a perfect foundation for comprehensive health improvement and active leisure.

The hospitality industry of Gelendzhik offers various forms of leisure: excursion routes and sightseeing, cultural, ethnic and sports and entertainment complexes, beach recreation, all kinds of water-based entertainment, water parks, mountain trips, etc.

Tuapsinsky District is one of the most picturesque places on the Black Sea coast in Krasnodar region, and with some of the friendliest climate.

The District is famous for its spa and resort complex with a wide range of services and a modern treatment and diagnostic base for treating respiratory organs, blood circulation, the locomotor apparatus, and functional disorders of the nervous system.

Beach recreation is the most popular in Yeysky District. The primary beaches (including the central town beach and the children’s beach located opposite) are located on the Yeysk Spit. Various types of active recreation―tourism, horse riding, skydiving, hunting and fishing―are all popular. Yeysk is among the emerging and promising yachting hubs of Russia. The town is often called “the Mecca of Russian surfers.”

Temryuksky District contains many creeks, estuaries, lakes and marshes. The Taman Peninsula is the western tip of Kuban. The coast is 250 kilometers long, with 220 kilometers’ worth of sand beaches, the largest and most valuable of their kind in Russia. The area contains unique natural objects: mud volcanoes, the only active volcanoes in the Caucasus.

The Goryachy Klyuch Resort is located 60 km east of Krasnodar and 60 km away from the Black Sea coast, 72 meters above sea level, in a forested area in the valley of the Psekups river.

Apsheronsky District is located in the Southern part of Krasnodar region, among the spurs of the Caucasus Mountains. It is one of Kuban’s most gorgeous spots, with inexhaustible reservoirs of mineral and thermal waters, a friendly climate, high peaks, wide river valleys and age-old forests.

One of the gambling zones in Russia attracting lovers of gambling from many countries is located on the territory of the mountain village Krasnaya Polyana. The gambling zone as a cultural and entertainment centre offering a wide range of relaxation made it possible to significantly expand a potential audience of the project and showed that this new kind of entertainment in Sochi is in demand.

Over 1,500,000 people from 149 countries visited the gambling zone by the end of 2019. Most frequently it was visited by guests from Israel,Turkey, UAE, Kazahstan, Armenia, India, China and some European countries.

All necessary conditions for a comfortable rest of foreign guests have been created in all the halls of the gamling zone “Krasnaya Polyana” — “Casino Sochi”, “Casino Boomerang” and the hall of slot machines “Bonus Slots”. The navigation in casinos is in Russian and English as well as the interfaces of the slot machines and terminals for account replenishment. Primary tourism opportunities of the region

The resorts of Krasnodar region offer vacation possibilities for all tastes.

Treatment and recuperation. A modern medical base and high amounts of natural healing resources make it possible for the health tourism sector to grow and implement various types of recuperation programs with up-to-date procedures.

Beyond excellent beach spots, a wide variety of tourist attractions is present here, from extreme sports and explosive night clubs to classical music performances and exploring the legacy of the Olympics.

Excursions. The region is famous for its variety of archaeological and historical monuments—table-stones, ancient settlements, burial mounds, fortresses—left by various peoples who have lived here since ancient times. The numerous memorial sites and constructions attract tourists and visitors from all over the country every year.

Ethnotourism is most strikingly represented by the outdoor Ataman ethnic complex.

The Ataman stanitsa is located on Taman land, which carries a rich history. The Taman Peninsula is part of Temryuksky District of Krasnodar region. Traces of many peoples and even civilizations have become intertwined here in a wondrous fashion. Every square meter of this fine land is imbued with legends and myths of old.

In 2009, an old-fashioned Cossack stanitsa of ATAMAN began its life on 20 hectares of Taman land. It is a living stanitsa, with its own inhabitants, way of life, singing and dancing, real farming, cattle, lookouts, inns and ancient huts, a market square with britzkas and wagons, a town church, and other attributes of pre-Revolution Cossack life. It is an exact copy of the way of life of those Cossacks who settled here by order of Catherine the Great and forever made these lands a part of Russia.

Every visitor of Ataman finds themselves in a world that is age-old yet authentic and alive, one where cabbage and potatoes grow in beds, a Cossack woman is forever taking freshly baked bread out of the oven, and dashing young Cossack men compete in agility and bravado. Here you can find yourself at a genuine Cossack wedding, talk like a Cossack and listen to actual Cossack tales.

Wine tours. Tourists can personally witness the unique corners of nature where elite wine grapes are being grown. Beyond visiting winemaking factories, visitors can taste Kuban wine, talk to master winemakers and participate in theatrical performances. In addition, tourists can visit wine therapy centers, where wine bathing is available as treatment.

Hiking is another form of tourism popular in Krasnodar region. At the moment there are 150 tourist routes with 130 natural and cultural-historical tourist sites in Krasnodar region. The routes pass through foothill, mountain and sea resorts.

The catalogue of opportunities is rounded out by the growing active types of recreation such as diving, windsurfing and rafting.

The territory of Krasnodar region contains many natural monuments, a number of reserves and the Caucasus Nature Reserve, which contributes to the growth of environmental tourism in the region.

Event tourism and cultural tourism are likewise well-developed.
